The Middlebury Lecture Association advertised a series of seven lectures in Academy Hall in late 1872 and early 1873. Tickets were available for $.50 at the store of N. P. Barber, who also appears to have handled the scheduling. Olive Logan, an author, of New York, N.Y., delivered the second of these on the subject of "Successful People". Her fee was $125.
